Location – Description of the neighborhood
The position of our apartments and bungalow is amazing! They are located in the heart of the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment and a large supermarket. The beach frond, provides umbrellas, sunbeds and service.
Along the promenade there are several nice and well-known restaurants with traditional and Mediterranean cuisine.
Bars and club in walking distance.
For anyone who does decide to hire a car, a number of alternative beaches, attractions and resorts can be easily found.
San Markos village is less than 10 minutes’ drive away, which has a nice taverna oversee the beautiful country side with superb scenery. The resort of Barbati is around 10 minutes’ drive towards the coast, and has several seafront restaurants, as well as a great beach.
Sports and excursions
The sea is ideal for various water sports such as canoeing, sub as well as windsurfing.
There are many trails and routes in the surrounding area for trekking. The beautiful paths cross the wonderful Corfiot nature with the olive trees and the beautiful traditional villages. From the area starts a path that leads to the top of Mount Pantokrator.
Cycling and jeep excursions are organized by the tourist offices of the area.
Many excursions start from here, with destination other beaches of the island as well as day trips to Paxos, Antipaxos and mainland.
Ways of transportation
Easy access.
- By private means just 30′ from the airport and 20′ from the port.
- By public transport:
The urban Green bus can get you from airport to Ipsos Beach, as follows:
- Green Bus (no 12). From airport to Saroko Square (main station) in Corfu town.
- Green Bus (no 7). From Saroko Square in Corfu town to Ipsos Beach. The name of the bus stop is Niakarelos stop and it is just opposite of the main entrance of the apartment. The Green bus runs every 20 minutes.
From airport to Ipsos beach by the Green bus it takes about an hour.
Other Ways of transportation from/to the apartment area
- City bus stop on the main road, at the entrance of the yard. Connected to the city of Corfu with services every 20 minutes.
- Intercity bus stop at 100 meters, for access to areas of eastern and northern Corfu (Barbati beach, Kassiopi).
- A boat departs to the platform in front of the building for day trips to nearby beaches.
- Just a few meters from the property, there are motorbike and car rental offices and tourist information for various other excursion ideas.
